Reining Clinic

Whether you are beginner or a seasoned reining veteran, come and learn the fundamentals of this exciting sport or hone your skills as a rider and competitor. You are sure to enjoy fun, fellowship and a weekend filled with quality instruction, geared at developing both you and your horse in a relaxing atmosphere.

One of the fastest growing riding disciplines, Reining has wide appeal to both Western and English riders. Often referred to as “Cowboy Dressage”, Reining, like Dressage, requires smooth and virtually effortless looking execution of patterns. Reining is a judged event designed to show the athletic ability of a ranch-type horse within the confines of a show arena.

Come learn the fundamentals of this exciting sport and build your skill as a rider and competitor. Enjoy a weekend filled with quality instruction geared at developing both you and your horse in a relaxing atmosphere.

All horses must have a current Rabies Certificate, Flu, Tetanus and Current Coggins.

Ben Baldus

Ben Baldus is an accomplished trainer and an excellent communicator. He trains and shows horses for NRHA, NRCHA, and AQHA events. His accomplishments include AQHA and NRCHA World Championships, wins, and finalists at major events, such as the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity, NRHA Reining Futurity, and National Reining Breeders Classic. Ben is not only a talented horse trainer, but is also a well-recognized clinician. His simple, straightforward approach is complemented by his strong communication skills; he also has an ability to make complex horse training methods easy to understand and apply. Join us for this clinic and you are guaranteed first-class instruction and an opportunity to learn from one of the very best the horse training industry has to offer.

Cost (includes horse board, housing, and meals):

  • RV Site: $250.00
  • Bunkhouse: $300.00
  • Top Hand Quarters: $375.00

Auditing Cost (meals included):

  • Weekend: $75
  • Saturday Only: $60
  • Bunkhouse Housing over weekend: $120
  • Top Hand Housing over weekend: $150

Top Hand Quarters have a bathroom in the room. All housing units are shared with others unless being housed as a couple or families.

Save $15 per person with a group of 5 or more (not applicable to partial event participation).
