2025 Summer Support Letter
Dear Family and Friends,
We hope you all are doing well! The biggest announcement to date is that we got married on May 30th! It was an absolutely amazing day, and we are so thankful for this new chapter of life we are starting! Everything came together very nicely for the wedding day, and it was such a blessing to be surrounded by people who love and support us. We had a huge surprise on our wedding day, and that was a personalized fireworks show! As the night was about to wrap up, Jacob’s friends, the Boyces, took the time and effort to create a fireworks show for us, and we enjoyed it so much. No 4th of July fireworks show will ever match up to our wedding day fireworks!
The first week of June, we spent our honeymoon in Michigan. We went to Mackinac Island and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. On Mackinac Island, there are no cars, just bikes and horse-drawn carriages. We biked around the entire Island, and we had a blast going to all the historical sites and fudge shops there. At the Sleeping Bear Dunes, there was a scenic drive that was so gorgeous, and we got to see the extravagant sand dunes. You could climb down the sand dunes, which would take you five minutes, but you had to be able to climb back up them, which could take close to two hours. Jacob really wanted to do it, but we didn’t want to spend $3000 on a helicopter to get him if he couldn’t make it back up 🙂
Coming back from the honeymoon, we have jumped right into summer camp. We went through staff training, helping the counselors and other summer staff prepare for their jobs this summer, and it was a blast. We have moved through Buckaroo camp and five full weeks of overnight camp, and four weeks of day camp.
This summer, Jacob, as Assistant Program Director, is loving every second of this summer season with the ranchers. He helps with setting up games and activities, as well as running the CIT program and mentoring the young men who come through the program. He’s had the opportunity to oversee how they are doing in hopes of coming back as full-time counselors in future years. He helps the two summer programming staff with their various activities in order to make sure things are prepped and ready to go around the ranch.
Sienna is helping run the Green Thumbs program, which is the garden elective here at the ranch. The kids learn about different kinds of plants, what plants do for us and our ecosystems, and why God created them. It has been a really fun time in Green Thumbs, getting to interact with the ranchers that come through and share the gospel through lessons. She is also mentoring three girls this summer, and they are such a blast! It has been a joy getting to know them. On Fridays, she judges the horse shows that the ranchers in Horse Camp put on for their parents. It’s a nice way to help out in the barn over the summer!
We have been loving working at Miracle Mountain Ranch, and the Lord has blessed us tremendously in many ways. Ways you can be praying for us in the next few months:
- Firstly, be praying for the ranchers that will be coming in the weeks of camp that are remaining. Our summer theme was “Draw Near,” found in Hebrews 10:19-25. We are so thankful for the guys and girls who have already made commitments to accept the Lord. Pray that they will continue to seek Him and grow in their faith even after leaving camp. Pray for the other ranchers who are still planning on coming, that the gospel of Christ will be planted in their hearts.
- Secondly, pray for the summer staff counselors, barn instructors, resident staff members, and so many others who are pressing on to do what we’ve set out to do.
- And thirdly, pray for us. That our relationship will grow and blossom, and that we will show each other the love of Christ and continue to have a great, fun, successful, and God-honoring marriage.
There are a lot of people, specifically people from Sienna’s circle, that this is the first newsletter you will be receiving. We will send out four big support letters throughout the year, letting you know what is going on in our lives and what the Lord is doing here at the Ranch. We will also be sending out an email with our support letter each quarter from . If you would prefer to get emails of our updates, then email us at or reach out to Jacob or me directly.
Jacob had a great head start on raising support in the spring season, but we are still a couple of hundred dollars shy of our support goal. If you are considering giving or want to give, reach out to us by email or visit MMRM.org for more information. Anything helps us out. If you have already been supporting us, we are extremely grateful! We are thankful to be surrounded by people who love and support what we do here at the Ranch, not only in financial help but also in prayer. That is what carries us to keep doing what we do here at the Ranch! We appreciate the prayers and are very thankful to all of you. Much love and God bless!
Sincerely,
Jacob and Sienna
