Josiah and Emily Gross

Josiah Gross serves on staff as the Program Director. He facilities and helps lead retreats and events at the ranch, as well as assisting in the marketing department, summer camp program, and SOD programming department. Josiah enjoys serving God through his work at the ranch and in the Corry Community. Emily grew up here at MMR. She currently works in town, but she helps out here in many ways when she can.

Spring Newsletter 2026

Dear Friends and Family,

We had a successful spring retreat season and loved being part of it! We’ve also been traveling a good bit during the spring months. In February, we were given the opportunity to attend the Faith Biblical Counseling Conference in Indiana with the 2nd year students in the School of Discipleship, along with some fellow staff members. It was a rich time of being under great teaching and becoming more equipped in learning about Biblical counseling. In March, we went to Camp Joy El to be a part of the CCCA conference. Josiah helped run the conference (as he serves on the cabinet), and we were both able to attend different workshops during our time there. Later that month, Josiah also had the opportunity to attend Tweakage in Michigan, another camping conference. Throughout all those trips, we also had the chance to visit some family and attend a few weddings. It’s been a full season, but we have enjoyed meeting new people and reconnecting with friends and family throughout it!

Updates:

• In May, we moved to our new home on the Ranch! We have been in the camp’s nurses’ station since November, but our new little home in the trailer park has been wonderful. We have really enjoyed being able to get settled in and find ways to update/improve the house.
• Also in May, Emily finished her job at the Credit Union. While the job in town was a great experience, Emily is planning on being more accessible at the Ranch for the different retreats and opportunities there.

It’s hard to believe that the summer camp season has officially started! All of the needed summer positions are filled and we have an amazing new body of summer staff, so we are very thankful for that! Throughout the summer, Josiah will have multiple responsibilities with assisting summer staff and ranchers to ensure that any needs are met during the weeks of camp. Both of us will have the opportunity to mentor some of the counselors as well. While camp on the Ranch is very busy, it is one of our favorite things to be a part of here, and we can’t wait to see what God will do!

Prayer Requests:

• For the summer camp season. That God would use the Ranch and staff here to impact the lives of those who come to volunteer, attend camp, etc.
• That God will continue to teach us and grow our marriage in the midst of a busy time in the Ministry.
• We are still in the process of growing our support base and are working towards the recommended amount of monthly income.
• For the students in the School of Discipleship, as they are almost to their graduation in August!

Thank you for your financial support and for your prayers. Both of us are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve in this ministry, and it is a joy to share all that God has been doing!
